Anyone? Anyone??

Can someone please tell me what Daughter hopes to accomplish by sitting in her room crying and yelling? All I did was say “You know, Daddy said you’d better have your room cleaned up by the time he gets home from work,” and she stomps off and starts her crying/yelling routine.

Does she think that by yelling and screaming I’ll let her off the hook? Not. Gonna. Happen. I’m sick of cleaning up her room; when school was still in session I spent an hour in Daughter’s room, picking up and putting toys away. And then she came home and messed it up!

Losing patience…

Yea…I would say it is probably time you put your foot down.

The more you stick to your guns the more you will see her go in and do it.

The yelling and crying is just for attention-ignore that and make it clear it has to be done-regularily…she’ll get tired of her fits of rage too when she sees they are not working!

I don’t know but I wish I did. I have a daughter who has spent more time this summer in room room crying and yelling how she hates all of us and all we do is torment her because we are so cruel. She’s 8.

I know, my daughter is only four years old and sometimes I swear she’s going through puberty already.
