It’s been fun; I have to say that I think I’ve pulled my head out of the sand a bit.  I’ve discovered other blogs that have really made me think, made me look at another side of things.  I’d like to think I’ve mellowed just a smidge.

I’ve shared, vented, ranted, had my ass handed to me a few times…but it was all fun.

I’ll still be around, like I said I may even comment if the mood strikes, and if you ever feel like taking in a wayward former blogger, drop me an email.  And I’m out there on Facebook and Twitter….but for the most part I’ll be holed up in my house on the hill, yelling at anyone who sets off the bing bonger.

Still though, he’s growing up and he’s a good kid.

And the “battle reenactment.”  What a hunk of cheddar.  I remarked to Husband that it’s kind of a “been there, done that” feeling anymore and he agreed.  He said it was cheesy…and I don’t think either one of us really likes being on the spectator side.  Not that we’re going to rush right back into anything, you know that, but it’s just so…bleh.  I think we were more impressed by the bagpipers.

Anyway, so we were making our way home when I realized that this here blog shuts down forever next Saturday.

I’d been sitting here thinking of something deep and profound the post here about all this, but what the hell, now I’ve got nothing.

Some things are just better left not said.

Son has two friends over for a sleep over, and this morning I got up and put out bowls, spoons, and cereal.  I told Son it was all ready to go, just grab the milk, and one friend says scornfully, “Cereal.”

Yes, cereal.  Forgive me for not making pancakes like your father does.  Vic doesn’t cook so early in the morning, and we’re taking off as soon as the boys leave, so….

And then I overhear this same kid say “Michael Jackson started pop singing.”

Really?  So all those singers that came before him were singing what?

This is the same kid who last night kept singing “Hotel California,” a song I despise.  I told this kid that if he didn’t want to sleep on the porch he’d better cram it.

Don’t get me wrong, I like The Eagles, I just hate that one song.  It’s one of those classic rock songs that gets played to death, plus it reminds me too much of Obnoxious Guy in high school who used to sing it at the top of his lungs.  Hate that guy, too.

Son’s other friend is a hoot, though.

And then there’s General Hospital.  There’s a new head writer, but they bring Franco back.  James Franco needs to go far, far away.

Laura?  Please, GH, don’t tease me, don’t put me through “the wig” again.  But then again, if Genie Francis is in fact getting axed from Y&R…..who knows.

Jason and Sam got married in a Chinese restaurant.  Well, looking back I wish I’d had my wedding there too.  Much like Chinese food, marriage is good for while, but then you find yourself looking for more after a while.

Loving that guy that married them, though. Can we have more of him, please?

So Jason Morgan is a married man.  Does this mean he won’t take his shirt off anymore?  I mean, with Franco back on the canvas it’s doubtful we’ll see a honeymoon, not that I want to.  I mean, if I hear “Do I have to be invisible?” one more time I will lash out irrationally.

Lulu and “Dainty.”  Just say yes, Lu.  Really.  Even if the boy does have a tramp stamp, he’s hot.

Patrick is growing a pair.  I like it.  Put your foot down with Robin, Patty-boy.  I can’t stand that twat.
